Ann Trombly, LCSW, BCD, ICAADC, CSTIP
Hello, I’m Ann Trombly. I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2009 and earned my Licensed Master’s Social Worker-Clinical (LMSW-C) in Michigan in 2012. I achieved Board Certification in 2015 and am also licensed as an LCSW in New Jersey. With over 15 years of experience as a therapist, I bring a wealth of expertise in mental health therapy. Before specializing in mental health and substance use treatment, I gained valuable insights from diverse practice settings, including adoption, criminal justice, school social work, housing stability, and domestic violence. These experiences provided me with extensive knowledge across a wide range of subjects.
As an adopted person and a mother, I intimately understand the complexities of self-identity and family dynamics. Personally, I integrate mindfulness and meditation practices into my life, finding them both grounding and enriching. Additionally, I believe in the healing power of laughter, which has been a constant source of resilience throughout my life.
I proudly served as an Active Duty mental health provider in the Air Force for more than 8 years. During this time, I held various leadership roles in the mental health clinic, substance use clinic, and disaster mental health. These experiences provided a solid foundation in evidence-based treatments and honed my interpersonal skills, all aimed at enhancing the quality of life for those I serve. I am particularly grateful for my time at the unique Tri-Service base, where I had the privilege of caring for service members from the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard.
I deeply value the therapeutic relationship as essential for positive outcomes. I approach each client’s journey toward mental wellness with genuine care, patience, and attunement. During our sessions, I create a secure, non-judgmental, and empathic space where you can openly share at your own pace. Drawing on my varied background, I tailor treatment to meet your unique needs. I strongly advocate for personalized therapy that respects individual differences, personal values, and strengths.
